Dina and I visited the Contemporary last week, which of course meant snooping around Bay Lake Tower as much as we could!
We took several pictures of the new resort. Bay Lake Tower looks great. It looks ready to open.
The whole time we were visited, there was never more than a couple of work trucks there at a time.
Here is the link to the new photos:

Those pictures are totally wonderful. Thank you. We used to walk to the MK when we stayed at the Contemporary and our kids were young. Now we walk there with the grandkids. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI just found your wonderful site last weekend, and have returned many times since then just to discover things I may have missed the first time. Thank you for taking time to post such detailed pictures. We look forward to staying at Bay Lake Towers soon! Your collection of information is amazing.
ReplyDeleteAny chance we'll see some pictures soon of the interior? We booked a two-bedroom villa with MK view for August 10th but haven't seen any pictures of it yet.
ReplyDeleteI am staying in a Grand Villa in November and I am very excited about it. So much so that I have been checking the web sites almost daily for new information. Thank You for your hard work and pictures of Bay Lake Tower. They have allowed me to experiance my trip early.
ReplyDeletethanks for the nice words everyone!
ReplyDeleteWe really appreciate it!

Probably not soon..... I have tried really hard to get early access but have not had success yet. As soon as Dina and I can get in there, we are going with camera in hand!!
Thank you for the great pictures! We're having a family reunion over Thanksgiving, and we're staying at BLT. We're looking forward to it! Steve R.
ReplyDeleteMust have missed you having a blog, Craig! I'll be around now that I know about it.
ReplyDeleteWe just got back from a vacation during which we received a private tour of the "new digs" as part of a DVC Member Only Presentation (to buy more points, of coure, which we did, of course). The 2 and 3 bedroom accomodations, all views, and the private lounge and observation deck are beyond stellar. This is a total win for DVC. I would suggest that you post higher resolution photos of this resort on your website that we can save as a desktop background. Thanks for a great site.
ReplyDeleteWe just booked a week next year over the 4th of July at the Bay Lake Tower - 2 bedroom suite. I noted your comment about the poor bathroom design in the studio. You failed to comment that in the two-bedroom suite that combines the studio and one-bedroom that the problem disappeared. In fact there was no discussion of the two or three bedroom suites at all. We stayed at the Old Key West two years ago and enjoyed the extra space that was not available in the other existing villas. The large floor plan in the Bay Lake plus the proximity to the Magic Kingdom and view of the Kingdom is what sold us. My grandkids will eat this up!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures! We are staying at BLT in September and am so excited. The only disappointing thing for me is that every 1 bedroom has a king bed in it. At the time of our trip my husband and I will be with our 7 month old son and our 2 1/2 year old son. I was really hoping to get 2 beds in the room so the 2 1/2 year old could be in the bed next to us because he still sleeps in a crib. I can't put him on a sofa bed and since he's not used to being in a bed I'd be nervous to have him in the room by myself.
ReplyDeleteAny idea why they have it set up as only 1 king bed in the bedroom part of the 1 bedrooms?
Hey, are you guys gonna post anything new soon? Your website is amazing, but you don't have anything fairly new. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI was thrilled to find your site and all the fabulous photos of BLT! I was also happy to see I was not the only one who thought it was unsanitary to have no sink in the bathroom for the studio!!! It's a good thing the rest of the property is so well thought-out and beautiful, because that tiny studio with the yucky bath almost made us rethink purchasing the points. I look forward to more photos as you post them.
